The SGH-F480, Samsung's hot new touchscreen device with the TouchWiz
user interface, will begin shipping in Europe in June 2008, with other
regions to follow. This sleek handset is heavy on style and features,
with a 5 megapixel camera that sports image stabilization and
auto-focus.
The F480 uses Samsung's custom TouchWiz touchscreen user interface
that allows consumers to use widgets to customize the standby screen,
and its haptic feedback offers a reassuring experience. The handset is
nearly the same size as a regular credit card, measuring in at 95.9mm x
55mm x 11.5mm (3.8" x 2.2" x .5") and weighs only 10.6g (3.5oz).
Aside from the camera, the Samsung F480 offers a bevy of
multimedia features, including 232MB of internal storage and a microSD
card slot for even more space. The music player supports podcasts, and
there is an FM radio and support for stereo Bluetooth headsets as well.
